BACK TO BASICS
Too often Catholics feel like they don't know (or remember) enough about their faith.Finding answers to basic questions about what Catholics believe and why can seem like a daunting task. "Back to the Basics" offers a supportive, non-judgmental learning environment to review the basic teachings of the Catholic Church. Using various books, movies, and study guides we go through the fundamentals of the Catholic Faith, inviting participants to enrich their understanding of the Church's doctrinal and spiritual riches. Whether you are new to the Church or a lifelong Catholic, "Back to Basics" not only equips you with knowledge of the Church's teachings,  it invites you to fall in love with the Faith all over again.

  •  Open to all Adults (Parishioner, Non-Parishioner, Catholic, Non-Catholic or other).
  • We meet at various times during the year for small group discussions.
  • Full calendar coming soon!
  • FEE: Free except when books/study guides are required.

Scott & Kimberly Hahn, tell us about the incredible spiritual journey that led them to convert to Catholicism. Scott Hahn was a Presbyterian minister, a brilliant Scripture scholar, and militantly anti-Catholic ... until he reluctantly began to discover that his enemy had all the right answers. Kimberly, also a top-notch theology student, is the daughter of a well-known Protestant minister, and went through much soul-searching after Scott converted to Catholicism. Their conversion story and love for the Church has captured the hearts and minds of thousands of lukewarm Catholics and brought them back into an active participation in the Church. They have also influenced countless non-Catholic conversions to Catholicism. Written with simplicity, charity, grace and wit, the Hahn's deep love and knowledge of Christ and of Scripture is evident and contagious.  Their love of truth and of neighbor is equally evident, and their theological focus on the great importance of the family, both biological and spiritual, will be a source of inspiration for all readers.

MOM'S CATHOLIC BOOK STUDY
We are Catholic women who come together to nourish our faith and provide support for each other!  It is that simple and that glorious!  Moms' Catholic Book Study was originally known as Moms' Bible Study and we have been going strong for over twenty-five years!  Women have come and gone but all have created a fellowship that remains active whenever we see each other!  As a group, each year we decide what books we will explore that will help us nourish our Catholic Faith.  As we all know, life happens, and we often will pause in our book discussion to focus on supporting one of our members who just might need that extra hug and a compassionate heart!
  •  Open to all Women (Parishioner, Non-Parishioner, Catholic, Non-Catholic, or other).
  • Being a Mom is not required
  • We meet every Wednesday (during the school year) from 10:00 am to noon. Every other week in the Church Conference room and on ZOOM on the alternate weeks.
Please see our web page for more information and to contact us.
