Choir of the Madeleine is an interactive choir that serves both the Church of St. Mary Magdalene and the School of the Madeleine!
We sing & play at the 5:30pm vigil(Sat.) and 9,11 am & 6pm on Sunday. 
 All voices including instruments are welcome!

Choir of the Madeleine Young Voices(COM Young Voices) is a newly formed section of our ministry which will lead the 9am Mass on select Sundays.

 Choir Guidelines:

•  Music selection will be similar for all masses. We will be utilizing the Breaking Bread music resource(OCP publisher).

          You will be responsible for organizing your own music!
          Hymnals & black binders will   provided(please don't buy one, we have plenty!)

•   Instrumentation and style will be adjusted accordingly based on attendance.
•   There will be one weekly rehearsal Wednesday evenings, at 6:30 -7:30 pm in the Church.
• ​  Sheet music downloads & audio files for practice are available here. Please come prepared for rehearsal.

              PRACTICE IS WHAT YOU DO ON YOUR OWN, REHEARSAL IS WHAT WE DO TOGETHER!

•  We will begin by singing in unison or in two parts, melody and harmony in equal, mixed voices(you will sing your part in your octave).

              Harmonies should be accessible to all vocal ranges(sops...give it a try!). Ideally there should be at least two people on the harmony. 

•  School of the Madeleine middle school (younger students on a case by case basis - pls contact Tess), Religious Education and Youth Ministry are welcome to join. A strict behavior code will be enforced.
